Bigger is better with Garmin’s newest portable, the Garmin GPSMAP 696. Its large display is beautiful even in direct sunlight. The bright, sunlight readable 7-inch screen is as crisp and rich in color. The charts are easy to read without zooming but zooming is still an option.

The GPSMAP 696 also takes our intuitive, easy-to-use operations to a new level with an integrated rotary knob/joystick or “click stick.” The joystick and soft key combinations are quick and very user friendly. This eliminates rocker pad data entry by providing an efficient-to-use rotary knob which selects alpha-numerics and advances the cursor with a quick tap of the joystick. The same joystick makes map panning and waypoint identification on the map page fast and intuitive.
